NURS 450 - Advanced Nursing Concepts and Interventions

Credit Hours: 3
This theory/laboratory course provides students with the opportunity to integrate and synthesize advanced nursing concepts and interventions required to manage complex health problems and multisystem dysfunctions across selected patient populations. Measures to promote safety, quality and excellence of nursing care thorough holistic caring practice, intra/interprofessional collaboration, teamwork and evidence are examined. Legal and ethical concepts or considerations related to complex health situations are also evaluated. Total Course Hours: 30 hours theory, 15 hours lab, 15 hours seminar. *Special fees apply (see Financial Section of this Bulletin). (Offered fall/spring)
Prerequisite(s): NURS 317 , NURS 318 , NURS 319 , NURS 320 NURS 327 , NURS 328 , NURS 331 , and NURS 332 
Corequisite(s): NURS 450L  and either NURS 400  or NURS 420
