Social Work Major

A minimum of 124 semester hours is required for all undergraduate degrees for graduation. Some majors may require more than 124 credits.

Social Work Requirements:
Students majoring in social work must earn at least a C or better in all of the following courses:
Signature Learning Requirements for Social Work Major:
- First Year Seminar
- Reading and Writing
- Oral Communication
- Ethics
- Quantitative Reasoning (Requirement fulfilled with Major, SOSCI 210 )
- Fine Arts *
- Social Science - (Requirement fulfilled with Major)
- Religion
- Cultural Pluralism - (Requirement fulfilled with Major, SWK 227 )
- Natural Science - (Students must take six (6) credit hours of Natural Science, (Natural Science & Society requirement and the Natural Science with Laboratory requirement)*
- Humanities
- Global Systems
