Mathematics Major with Education Licensure

Note


  • This program prepares the student to seek licensure for teaching mathematics in grades 7-12 in the schools of Ohio. Information regarding the Completion of the Adolescence to Young Adult teacher licensure program may be found under the School of Education of this Bulletin. 
  • Students earning a Mathematics Major with Education Licensure degree cannot simultaneously earn a Mathematics degree.

Signature Learning Requirements for Mathematics Education Licensure Majors:


  • First Year Seminar - EDUC 151 EDUC 151 - Foundations of the Education Profession  
  • Reading and Writing (Grade of C or better required)
  • Oral Communication (Grade of C or better required)
  • Ethics 
  • Quantitative Reasoning - (Requirement fulfilled with Major)
  • Religion 
  • Fine Arts *
  • Social Science - (Requirement fulfilled with Major)
  • Cultural Pluralism *
  • Natural Science - (Requirement fulfilled with Major) 
  • Humanities 
  • Global Systems

NOTE:  The Quantitative Reasoning, Natural Science, and Social Science Signature Learning goals are fulfilled for Mathematics majors with education licensure
