Requirements for history major with education licensure
Complete 36 hours in history including
two non-western courses and eight additional hours of history, at least four hours at 300 or 400 level

See Signature Learning Pathways for a complete listing of applicable cognate courses. Requirements for Education Majors may change depending upon the area of Licensure chosen.
Notes:
In addition to the history major, students complete the adolescent to young adult licensure program for integrated social studies. This program prepares the student to seek licensure for teaching social studies in grades 7-12 in public schools. Information regarding the licensure program may be found under the School of Education section of this bulletin.
