Audio for film, audio for TV (broadcast), audio for the web, VR audio, etc., there’s more to audio engineering than mixing bands and producing music. Each field or industry has certain technical demands and expectations, and may require different audio treatment all together. Through various real-world projects, ‘Audio for Media’ will introduce you to important concepts, techniques, and audio engineering procedures involved with creating, mixing, and producing post-production and multimedia audio. Offered Spring semester. Prerequisite(s): MUSIC 410 Advanced Recording Techniques or permission of Music Technology Area Head. Corequisite(s): Minimum grade of C required for music technology majors.
