Continuation of MUSIC 131 including a comprehensive introduction of notational theory (melodic, rhythmic, harmonic and formal concepts) and intermediate written analytical techniques as applied to common-practice diatonic music and American popular and jazz styles. Offered spring semester each year. Prerequisite(s): Minimum grade C or better in MUSIC 131 and MUSIC 132.
