Music Industry-Bachelor of Music with Emphasis in Music Industry

A minimum of 124 semester hours is required for all undergraduate degrees for graduation. Some majors may require more than 124 credits.

Additional requirements to complete:


  • Minimum 4 credits of major ensemble
  • Minimum 3 credits of additional major or minor ensemble

Footnotes:


*   One semester waived if off-campus for internship.

**  May substitute the sequence of: MUSIC 235 - American Pop Music/Jazz Theory I MUSIC 236 - American Pop Music/Jazz Applied Lab I MUSIC 237 - American Pop Music/Jazz Theory II MUSIC 238 - American Pop Music/Jazz Applied Lab II .

*** Private Lessons must attain 301 level to perform recital. 

Signature Learning for Bachelor of Music Majors Requirements:


  • First Year Seminar (MUSIC 120 Introduction to Music and Listening  for all music majors)
  • Reading and Writing 
  • Oral Communication  
  • Ethics   
  • Quantitative Reasoning *
  • Religion
  • Fine Arts (Requirement waived for Bachelor of Music majors)
  • Social Science *
  • Cultural Pluralism *
  • Natural Science (Students must take a minimum of six (6) credit hours of Natural Science and the laboratory science requirement) *
  • Humanities
  • Global Systems
