Requirements for the Biology Major (62 credits)
Required courses include:
two semesters of
- BIOL 400 - Senior Seminar
- Modern Language Requirement: Students in this major must take two semesters of a single language or demonstrate competency by placing out of the requirement.
An additional 12 hours of biology electives are required
Elective courses may NOT include the following courses:
Signature Learning Requirements:
- First Year Seminar
- Reading and Writing
- Oral Communication
- Ethics
- Quantitative Reasoning
- Religion
- Fine Arts
- Social Science
- Cultural Pluralism
- Natural Science - (Students must take six (6) credit hours of Natural Science (the combination of the Natural Science and Society requirement and the Laboratory Science requirement)
- Humanities
- Global Systems
