BIOL 131 - Human Anatomy and Physiology I Credit Hours: 4 The course is a two-semester sequence in which human A&P are examined through a systems approach to the human body, where systems are examined based on the interaction between form and function from the organismal level to the microscopic components of the tissues. This course covers the following: Body Plan & Organization; Homeostasis; Chemistry and Cellular Biology; Histology; Integumentary System; Skeletal System and Articulations; Muscular System; Nervous System; General and Special Senses. Laboratory experiences complement lecture topics, providing hands-on exploration of anatomical structures and physiological functions. The curriculum aligns with HAPS recommendations to ensure a nationally recognized standard of content and learning outcomes. (Offered Fall) Corequisite(s): BIOL 131L
