MUSIC 113 - Intro to Music Technology

Credit Hours: 3

An in-depth look at the foundational elements of Music Technology. This course studies the technologies found in multiple areas of the audio production field, including computer operating systems, digital audio workstations, microphones, audio signal flow and MIDI. Students will investigate the historical relevance and apply these technologies with hands-on activities and research projects.
Prerequisite(s): Music major, BAPS Music Technology major, or permission of Music Technology department.
