EDUC 233 - Contextually Responsive Teaching

Credit Hours: 4
This is an online course for Capital City Teacher Residency students only. This course examines the intricacies of individualized teaching strategies that place students’ culture at the heart of teaching. Students will examine how such an emphasis can lead to valuable learning experiences for all learners. Students will delve deeply into the literature on culturally responsive teaching, culturally sustaining teaching, perceptive teaching and teacher dispositions while analyzing their own cultural lenses.
Prerequisite(s): EDUC 101 EDUC 151  (or equivalent), and EDUC 201 . CCTR students only.
