MUSIC 321 - History of Western Music I

Comprehensive chronological study of Western art music from ancient times through the baroque era with an emphasis on perception skills. Additional content will include an introduction to musicological writing and research skills, an understanding of the social and political conditions of each period.
Prerequisite(s): Both MUSIC 231 and MUSIC 232 or both MUSIC 235 and MUSIC 236.
