EDUC 312 - Family, Community and Culture Credit Hours: 2 This course provides teacher education candidates with the knowledge, dispositions, and skills needed to establish and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with families and community members. Students develop cultural responsibility in relation to family and community for the purpose of enhancing educational opportunities for young children. This course involves a service-learning component in a non-traditional educational setting. Field work is required outside of class times. (Offered fall/spring/summer) Prerequisite(s): EDUC 151 and sophomore standing.
