CRIM 380 - Victimology

An introduction to the multifaceted issue of victimization in the U.S. and abroad including theories of victimization, trends in criminal victimization, treatment of victims in the criminal justice system, victim support issues, and the victimization of certain subgroups in the population. Guest speakers and victimization study projects may be utilized. (Offered fall/spring)
Prerequisite(s): SOC 115 or SOC 120; CRIM 230 or SOC 330.
