Application of sociological principles to selected major problems of contemporary society. Topics may include poverty, health, global issues, the environment, violence, social justice, and social institutions. This course is designated as a civic / engaged course. (Offered fall) Prerequisite(s): SOC 110, SOC 115 , or SOC 120 .
