Study of elementary written analytical and notational techniques, including major, minor, mixolydian and dorian tonalities; simple, compound, combined, and irregular meters; phase structure and harmonization of a melody. Offered fall semester each year. Prerequisite(s): Music major or permission of the Foundation Division Head and Honors Program. Corequisite(s): MUSIC 132 Audiation I.
