Requirements for art major with education licensure

This program prepares the student to seek licensure for teaching visual arts, pre-school-grade 12 in schools of Ohio. Any deviation from the following list of courses must be approved by the department.

The required courses are:

ART 120 - Foundations in Studio Art
ART 121 - Drawing
ART 221 - Painting and Drawing
ART 231 - Design
ART 241 - Sculpture
ART 251 - Ceramics
ART 271 - Printmaking
ART 272 - Photography
ART 422 - Life Drawing
AH 300 - Art History Survey I
AH 301 - Art History Survey II
UC 311 - Humanities: Enlightenment to the Present
