Fast Track Option: “BSN to MSN”

The FAST TRACK, designed for students in the BSN Completion Program with demonstrated academic excellence who plan to pursue graduate study, provides the opportunity to take graduate nursing courses while still completing the BSN. This option requires both a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and Advisor recommendation. After reaching a specified point in the undergraduate program, the qualified student can take up to three graduate nursing courses (9 semester hours) that can be used to fulfill selected undergraduate nursing course requirements.  A ”Fast Track” form must be signed by the student, adviser and Vice-Chair of the Post-Licensure programs.

Subsequent admission to the graduate program requires meeting current MSN admission standards plus a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher in the graduate nursing courses taken. After the student is granted full admission to the MSN program, the graduate courses taken in the FAST TRACK can be used to fulfill graduate requirements for the MSN.
