Political Science Core, 24 hours:

Political science majors may choose from Track I or Track II.

Track I, General (18 hours):

POLS 205 - Intro to Public Policy
POLS 225 - The American Presidency or
POLS 370 - Presidential Elections and American Politics
POLS 390 - Early American Law:Constitutional History of the U.S. to 1865 or
POLS 391 - Modern American Law:Constitutional History of the U.S. since 1865
One Comparative Course (230 or 236 or 235 or 335 or 340 or 345 or 385)
Six additional hours in Political Science

Track II, Pre-Law (18 hours):

POLS 205 - Intro to Public Policy or
POLS 215 - Intro to Public Administration
POLS 390 - Early American Law:Constitutional History of the U.S. to 1865
POLS 391 - Modern American Law:Constitutional History of the U.S. since 1865
One Comparative Course (230 or 236 or 325 or 335 or 340 or 345 or 385)

Requirements for Public Administration Major:

In addition to the above Political Science Major Core requirements (24 hours), students must complete the following Public Administration Core requirements (15 hours):

Students will complete the Public Administration Core and develop an individualized concentration in a sub-field of Public Administration. Approval of the academic Adviser and department head is required.
