Requirements for Economics-Political Science Major:

(Economics-Political Science majors are exempt from the Social Science General Education Goal.

ECON 101 - Macroeconomic Principles (4)
and
ECON 115 - Microeconomic Principles (4)
The following two courses must be completed at Capital University:
ECON 320 - Intermediate Microeconomic Theory and Practice (4)
ECON 326 - Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory and Money (4)
any other two economics courses - 300 or 400 level
POLS 105 - American Government and Politics (3)
POLS 120 - Introduction to Political Theory (3)
POLS 210 - International Relations (3)
POLS 230 - Comparative Politics (3)
any other three political science courses (at 300 or 400 level)
Modern Foreign Language: 8 hours in a foreign language (or proficiency credit). American Sign Language is not included.

MATH 215 - Elementary Statistics (3)
MATH 230 - Calculus I (4)
or
SOSCI 210 - Social Science Statistics (4)
SOSCI 220 - Social Science Research Methods (4)

Quantitative Reasoning (Requirement fulfilled with Major - MATH 215 Elementary Statistics or SOSCI 210 Social Science Statistics )

Social Science - (Requirement fulfilled with Major)
Cultural Pluralism
Fine Arts
Natural Science - Students must take a minimum of 6 credit hours of Natural Science courses (the combination of the Natural Science and Society requirement and the Laboratory Science requirement).
