Requirements for the financial economics major—Courses:
Business Core
The Business Core program provides a broad foundation in the five areas of accounting, economics, finance, management and marketing plus a working knowledge of quantitative methods and information systems. These courses provide the basis for advanced courses in a business major. Students must take from the Capital School of Management and Leadership at least one half of the business and economics courses required for their major in Accounting, Financial Economics, Leadership & Management or Marketing. Business Core
General Education Courses (with exemptions from General Education Goals 3 and 8; ECON 100; MATH 120 or placement into MATH 220; BUS 101; ECON 200; MATH 215; MATH 220 OR 225 OR 230 or equivalent courses; BUS 131, 215, 240, 242, 246, 301, 321, 325, 380, 390, 450. plus at least nine credit hours of electives outside the School of Management and Leadership
