Requirements for art major with education licensure
This program prepares the student to seek licensure for teaching visual arts, pre-school-grade 12 in schools of Ohio. Any deviation from the following list of courses must be approved by the department.
The required courses are:
Signature Learning Requirements for Art Major with Education Licensure:
- First Year Seminar - EDUC 151 Foundations of the Education Profession
- Reading and Writing
- Oral - UC 120 Oral Communication
- Ethics
- Quantitative Reasoning *
- Social Science - (Requirement fulfilled by Major)
- Fine Arts - (Requirement fulfilled by Major)
- Religion
- Cultural Pluralism
- Natural Science - Students must take a minimum of SIX (6) credit hours of Natural Science courses (the combination of the Natural Science and Society requirement and the Laboratory Science requirement).
- Humanities
- Global Systems
