The Performance Technology Minor minor incorporates existing courses within historical, creative, and theoretical studies as well as performance, information, and communication technologies. These technologies continue to converge as digital media and the former technological, process, and operating differences between the traditional performance technologies lessen through their convergence in the digital domain. Included in the practical and classroom experiences are stage lighting, live and processed sound production (including radio), stagecraft, theatrical design, and video production and projection. Successful students will combine performance theory with the acquisition of essential skills. They will demonstrate competence through pre-professional and professional activities.
