Complete 33 hours in history including

HIST 100 - Western Civilization: Ancient to 1600
HIST 101 - Western Civilization: 1600 to the Present
HIST 120 - History of The United States: Colonial to 1865
HIST 121 - History of The United States: 1865 to the Present
HIST 170 - Introduction to the Study of History
HIST 270 - Historical Methodology
HIST 470 - Seminar

two non-Western history courses and nine additional hours of history

Notes:

In addition to the history major, students complete the adolescent to young adult licensure program for integrated social studies. This program prepares the student to seek licensure for teaching social studies in grades 7-12 in public schools. Information regarding the licensure program may be found under the Education Department of this bulletin.
