Major in Studio Art
The major in studio art is designed to provide foundational experiences for the building of skills in working with diverse ideas and media; exploring creative solutions to aesthetic and technical situations; and pursuing one’s individuality. This program leads to the pursuit of personal and professional applications of the acquired knowledge and skill as an independent artist; as a graduate student seeking further in-depth study and experience; or as a practicing professional in a related field. Any deviation from the following list of courses must be approved by the candidate’s adviser and the curriculum coordinator. A minimum of 46 semester credit hours must include the following:
