NURS 459 - C-NAP: Community Health Promotion

Students synthesize knowledge based on the principles of community health practice and epidemiology with a primary prevention focus.  Delivering population-based care for both communities and families is explored.  The structure of the American health care system is examined.  Delivering nursing care to aggregate / vulnerable populations with the community is also discussed. (2 credit lecture and 2 credits clinical per week for 15 weeks = 2 hours of lecture per week and 6 hours of clinical per week in 15 weeks.).  (Offered fall.) Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of NURS 365  and NURS 309 .
