NURS 500 - Applied Healthcare Statistics

This course emphasizes the use of statistics and data analysis; critical understanding of the meaning of statistical findings for utilization as a nurse in advanced practice and the use of computer in data processing. Topics include: descriptive statistics, probability, hypothesis testing, parametric and non-parametric statistics, reliability and validity.  (3 hours lecture per week for 15 weeks). Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of an undergraduate statistics course.
