NURS 463 - C-NAP: Leadership in Practice Practicum

This capstone course provides extensive practice experience designed to assist transition from student to beginning nurse clinician. Students will examine complex clinical problems and refine previously learned health assessment, therapeutic intervention and management skills in an acute care setting. Interdisciplinary collaboration, communication and accountability are examined. Students will learn to independently manage their own learning needs under the guidance of qualified leadership personnel. (2.5 hours lecture and 0.5 credits seminar, and 4 credits per 15 weeks). (2.5 hours clinical conferences and 180 clinical hours / week / 15 weeks) Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of Term IV of the program.
