NURS 460 - C-NAP: Prof Role in Health Care System

This course explores the role of the professional nurse with specific consideration given to the knowledge and skills required for management, leadership, and fellowship in health care agency systems.  Issues related to intra and interprofessional communication, collaboration and team building and delegation are examined.  Professionalism, standards of nursing practice, professional organizations, and life-long learning are discussed. Political, social, economic, legal, and ethical issues in health systems are explored. (2 credit lecture per week for 15 weeks) Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of Term III in the program
