NURS 711 - Healthcare Quality & Safety Practicum

Credit Hours: 4

This practicum experience provides students the opportunity to integrate, synthesize, and apply knowledge and skills acquired throughout their quality and safety coursework. Students will participate as a member on an interdisciplinary team in a functional role to improve a quality, safety, or performance outcome in a healthcare organization. Students will lead and participate in seminars on selected issues and topics pertaining to quality, safety, and performance enhancement. Students will also prepare for Certification in Healthcare Quality and complete 150 clinical hours. (Offered fall)
Prerequisite(s):
All NURS-500 and NURS-600 level courses. Cannot be taken concurrently with NURS 690 and NURS 722.
