MN 2515 - Death, Dying, Grief, Bereavement

Credit Hours: 2
This practical course is a multicultural and multidisciplinary exploration of how individuals and groups derive meaning and purpose from the experience of death and grief. Factors impacting the experience, expressions, and adaptive strategies of this population will also be explored. Students will research the theoretical, biblical, historical, and theological aspects related to end-of-life issues and develop their own spiritual autobiographies and constructs for ministry to the bereaved and mourning. Students will interface with members of the community such as funeral directors, hospitals, and hospice staff, etc.
