MSW 550 - Theories and Models for Generalist Practice, Communities, Organizations

This course builds on Generalist Social Work Practice with Groups by applying systems, ecological, and other explanatory theories to problem solving models that seek to analyze and identify targets of change for communities and organizations based on need. Emphasis will be placed on skill building, including planning, implementing interventions that target policies/procedures, varying definitions of communities, and an emphasis on the role of diversity.
