MSW 670 - Theories and Models of Advanced Practice/ Communities & Organizations

Social workers understand the value base of the profession to uphold democratic principles and equal justice for all. This course provides an overview of the historical trends among the institutions as they fulfill the needs of communities and when/how they fall short. Students study community practice models and learn the tools and techniques to target specific populations marginalized by inequality, racism, oppression, and environmental injustices. Students apply selected concepts in their social work practice. (Offered spring)
