MSW 625 - Crisis Intervention and Trauma

Social workers provide ethical practice for tertiary level care. Crisis Intervention Clinical Social Work Practice and the five principles of trauma informed care are introduced to students, including an in-depth understanding of the biological, psychological, and sociological risk and resilience factors affecting clinical outcomes. Evidence based practices and ethical decision making is discussed throughout the course to reinforce the central role of advocacy within multi-system interactions in clinical social work practice.
