MSW 530 - Social Welfare in the United States

Social workers shape and mediate the relationship between social welfare programs and their participants. Student critically examine the historical development of social welfare in the United States with respect to how it has been impacted by privilege and oppression. Students analyze public assistance and insurance programs using social, economic, and environmental lens. (Offered fall)
