EDUC 519 - Human Development and Lifespan Counseling


This course evaluates major theories of working with special populations throughout various stages of development and life circumstances. Physical, psychological, cognitive, social, and moral considerations are investigated. Special populations include children, people with disabilities, and the military/veterans among others.  There will be a focus on exploring counseling interventions and strategies that are appropriate for life stages and various populations.  Additionally, students will gain an enhanced knowledge of their own developmental processes in order to understand the developmental challenges faced by others.
