BL 3135 - Theology of the Prophets

A historical and theological study of ancient Israel’s prophetic traditions and literature, the function and social location of prophecy, and its relationship to the Church’s canon and witness, with an exegetical focus on selected biblical texts.

Prerequisites & Notes
Three of the following courses are prerequisites for MDiv: BL 1021 Old Testament I, BL 2022 Old Testament II, BL 1041 New Testament I, and BL 2042 New Testament II. MTS: BL1021 Old Testament I and BL 1041 New Testament I.
