BIOL 324 - Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy(4) A comprehensive investigation of the anatomy of representative vertebrates, including humans, at the level of general body form - phylogenetic and embryonic development. Evolution of vertebrate circulatory, respiratory, urinary, digestive, nervous, and reproductive systems are covered relative to ecology of species/classes. Application of current biological theories of development and evolution is intertwined with examination of physical form and fossil records to highlight the role of natural selection in vertebrate evolution. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 152 ; Corequisite(s): BIOL_324L
