SOC 465 - International Law(4) The course will examine the complex and varied sources, traditions, customs, and functions of international law and its significance in the international system. International law has played an enormous role in shaping the content and form of the international system through an elaborate system of procedures, rules, and guidelines that affect the relationships between states, for example, state sovereignty, diplomacy, peace, war and other dimensions of global existence. The course will examine the complex and varied sources, traditions, customs, and functions of international law and its significance in the international system.
Prerequisite(s): SOC 115 Principles of Sociology or SOC 120 Introduction to Sociology and junior standing (completed 60+ credits).
