HSPTS 384 - Medical Aspects of Athletic Training(2)
Information presented on a variety of illnesses and conditions that may affect the athlete. In addition the student will be introduced to pharmacologic applications, including awareness of the indications, contraindications, precautions and interactions of medications and of the governing regulations relevant to the treatment of injuries to and illnesses of athletes and others involved in physical activity that the entry-level
certified athletic trainer must possess. (Offered spring-odd years.) Prerequisite(s): Must be a junior or senior level student.
