HIST 332 - Medieval Mediterranean Civilizations: Jews, Christians, and Muslims in Continuity and Conflict(4) This course introduces the history of the Mediterranean from the disintegration of the Roman Empire in the fourth and fifth centuries through the fall of Constantinople in the fifteenth century. Together, we will discuss the dissolution of the Greco-Roman world into the Medieval Latin West, the Byzantine, Empire, and the Islamic world. This course will also examine how these three civilizations continue to shape cultural, religions, and social structures of the modern world.
