NURS 400 - Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Concepts(4) A didactic and clinical course that provides opportunities to apply theoretical concepts in psychiatric / mental health nursing with individuals, families and in the community across the lifespan. (Full semester format for students admitted prior to fall, 2021 2 credits lecture=2 hrs./week, 0.5 credits seminar=1 hr./week, and 1.5 credits clinical=90 hrs./term.) (Modular semester format for student admitted fall, 2021 2.5 credits = 5.5 hours/week of lecture = 38.5 per week; 0.5 credits= 2 hours/week seminar; 1 credit clinical =8.5 hours/week = 60 hours per seven weeks) (Offered Fall/Spring*Special fee applies (see “special fees” in “financial” section of this bulletin.) Prerequisite(s): Placement: Senior standing, NURS 365, NURS 326, (or NURS 327, NURS 328, NURS 331, and NURS 332) NURS 317, NURS 318, NURS 319, and NURS 320. Corequisite(s): NURS 420 , NURS 450
