CS 380 - Operating Systems(2) An introduction to modern operating system. Topics include the structure of an operating system, process management, synchronization, critical sections, semaphores, deadlock handling, memory management, process scheduling, and security. The major components of Unix/Linux and its derivatives (processes, threads, sockets, etc.) will be explored more in details. Offered spring only, odd years Prerequisite(s): CS 161 Algorithms and Data Structures I (Minimum grade C).
