MN 2373 - Engaging Children and Families in Worship

This course will help worship leaders gain practical ways to deepen the worship experience for their congregation by including children as active worship participants. Explores ways of incorporating youth in hymns and songs, worship activities, children’s choirs and drama. Investigates ways of coaching youth readers that will strengthen understanding of the text by both the reader and the congregation. This course includes material on the developmental needs of children and how to create the type of environment where a child’s participation supports their spiritual growth and the growth of the congregation.
