EDUC 503 - Intro to School Counseling

This course introduces students to the profession of counseling through exploring the important elements of programs and models. Also, the course provides foundational knowledge of the role of the school counselor at the elementary, middle and high school levels. This course will cover the processes, principles, and practices of effective school counseling in relations to the developmental needs of students. During this course, topics such as ethics and multicultural counseling will be briefly introduced.
