EDUC 553 - Counseling Diverse Populations

This course explores multicultural and pluralistic trends including ethnic and racial heritage, age, gender, sexual identity religion, and socioeconomic status and encourages students to become sensitive to cultural differences. Students will examine their cultural self - awareness and assess the dynamics of counseling clients from diverse backgrounds. The class will be presented in a hybrid manner, meeting on campus for five sessions during the semester.
