BUS 311 - Intermediate Accounting I(4) An intensive study and application of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for asset and liability valuation, income measurement, and financial statement presentation for business organizations. Topics include the conceptual framework, the accounting cycle, plant assets, leases, income tax accounting, pensions, and compound interest techniques. This course relies extensively on the case method of instruction and utilizes the Business Activity Model (BAM) simulation. (Offered fall.) Prerequisite(s): BUS 211 ; BUS 213 .
