An introduction to the art of reading, understanding and constructing mathematical proofs. A variety of proof techniques will be presented. Topics, with emphasis on proofs, will be drawn from set theory, functions, relations, analysis, group theory and number theory. Prerequisite(s): MATH 230 or MATH 231;
