  • Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators (EDUC-197, EDUC-198, EDUC-199)
  • Content GPA (2.75 or higher required for acceptance to Teacher Education)
  • Content GPA (2.75 or higher required for acceptance to Student Teaching and Licensure)
  • Ohio Assessments for Educators (OAE) Requirements

Signature Learning Requirements for Education Majors:


  • First Year Seminar - EDUC 101 Developing as a Professional Educator I  
  • Reading and Writing 
  • Oral Communication - UC 120 Oral Communication  (Grade of C or better required)
  • Ethics 
  • Quantitative Reasoning * - (Grade of C or better required)
  • Fine Arts 
  • Social Science - (Requirement fulfilled with Major)
  • Religion 
  • Cultural Pluralism 
  • Natural Science * (Students must take six (6) credit hours of Natural Science (the combination of the Natural Science and Society requirement and the Laboratory Science requirement)
